This was the first of many series of Counter-Terrorism Financial Investigation Course (Basic) in Sabah. The attendees were officers of grades 41 and 44 from various agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The speakers who led this workshop were SEARCCT\u2019s local trainers, namely the Royal Malaysia Police, Attorney General\u2019s Chambers and Bank Negara Malaysia. These trainers were initially trained by Australia during SEARCCT\u2019s Financial Investigation Workshop in March 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"636\" height=\"424\" src=\"https:\/\/www.searcct.gov.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Counter-Terrorism-Financial-Investigation-Course-Basic-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4315\" srcset=\"https:\/\/staging.searcct.gov.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Counter-Terrorism-Financial-Investigation-Course-Basic-2.jpg 636w, https:\/\/staging.searcct.gov.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Counter-Terrorism-Financial-Investigation-Course-Basic-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/staging.searcct.gov.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Counter-Terrorism-Financial-Investigation-Course-Basic-2-16x12.jpg 16w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 636px) 100vw, 636px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the course of 3 days, participants were exposed to the alarming threat of Daesh based on the statistics of terrorist suspects in Malaysia while understanding the various legal mechanisms put in place.
