The programme was\nSEARCCT\u2019s first programme for 2018. 25 officers from the newly established\nCBRNE Unit of the RMP participated in the programme which comprised of\ntheoretical and real-time practical training. ACP Mohammad Rafee Abu Bakar,\nAssistant Director of Armament (CBRNE), officiated the five-day programme\nalongside the Director of Planning and Training Division of SEARCCT, Supt\nAemran Mustafa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"634\" height=\"423\" src=\"https:\/\/www.searcct.gov.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/CBRNE-FTRP-MUAR-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-922\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>With the aim of equipping participants with the knowledge\nand understanding of current trends adopted by terrorists utilising CBRNE\nagents and also to prepare first responders in planning and responding to CBRNE\nthreats and incidents, SEARCCT had engaged with established local trainers from\nthe RMP, the Malaysian Armed Forces, the Chemistry Department of Malaysia, the\nFire and Rescue Department and the Atomic Energy Licensing Board (AELB) to make\nthe progamme more stimulating and beneficial. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"636\" height=\"424\" src=\"https:\/\/www.searcct.gov.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/CBRNE-FTRP-MUAR-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-923\" srcset=\"https:\/\/staging.searcct.gov.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/CBRNE-FTRP-MUAR-2.jpg 636w, https:\/\/staging.searcct.gov.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/CBRNE-FTRP-MUAR-2-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 636px) 100vw, 636px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop was conducted in a two-fold module format to\nenable participants not only to be familiar with detection equipment for CBRNE\nagents, but also to provide substantial amount of hands-on experience, adding\nvalue to the theoretical lectures.
