The UK’s GCSI emphasized how the RESIST 2.0 toolkit advocates a six-pillar approach: Recognition, Early Warning, Situation Insight, Impact Assessment, Strategic Communication, and Tracking Effectiveness. The workshop also included practical application learning from RESIST case studies, addressing the scenarios of misinformation and disinformation in the context of both countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ailsa Terry, the British High Commissioner to Malaysia and the Director General of SEARCCT, Dato’ Ganeson Sivagurunathan, actively participated in the closing remarks. They called for increased support for capacity building tailored to the specific contexts of both countries and highlighted the need for a platform to strengthen the relationship between the UK and Malaysia.
