This course was joint-collaborative course by the Southeast Asia Regional Centre for Counter-Terrorism and the Special Branch of the Melaka Contingent Police Headquarters. The Terrorism 101 included a combination of presentations, interactive discussions, and practical exercises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This course aimed to equip participants with insights into terrorism concepts and<br>legal frameworks as well as enhancing understanding of terrorism-related issues<br>and challenges in Malaysia. The Special Branch of the Royal Malaysia Police and the Malaysian Defence Intelligence Organisation (MDIO) also provided expert lectures during these sessions. In the afternoon, the Digital Strategic Communications Division of SEARCCT gave a presentation on the<br>significance of Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE) in Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SEARCCT&#8217;s Research and Publications Division led presentations on the second<br>day that examined how terrorists use the internet. Additionally, the Armament Branch of the RMP led discussions on Chemical, Biological, Radiological,<br>Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNe) threats.
