It provided a platform for participants from various agencies to network and strengthen collaboration in efforts to combat terrorism and violent extremism in Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.searcct.gov.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-5-1024x683.png\" alt=\"Image 5\" class=\"wp-image-9652\" srcset=\"https:\/\/staging.searcct.gov.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-5-1024x683.png 1024w, https:\/\/staging.searcct.gov.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-5-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/staging.searcct.gov.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-5-768x512.png 768w, https:\/\/staging.searcct.gov.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-5-18x12.png 18w, https:\/\/staging.searcct.gov.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-5.png 1171w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The first day commenced with an official opening ceremony, followed by sessions that examined the threat of terrorism and the current security landscape in Malaysia. These sessions included expert insights from the Malaysian Defence Intelligence Organisation (MDIO) and the Special Branch (E8) of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM). In the afternoon, the focus shifted to the role of Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE) in Malaysia, presented by SEARCCT\u2019s Strategic Digital Communications Division. Participants also took part in discussions about Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNe) threats, facilitated by PDRM\u2019s Armament Branch.
