UNIVERSITY LECTURE SERIES (ULS) | Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS)

SEARCCT continued its Sabah University Lecture Series (ULS) at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), where Mr. Kennimrod Sariburaja delivered a lecture titled “Introduction to Terrorism in Malaysia and Emerging Threats” on 5 November 2025.

The session outlined the history of terrorism in Malaysia, examined regional hreat dynamics, and highlighted emerging trends shaping today’s security landscape. Approximately 250 students participated and engaged actively throughout the discussion.

The ULS aims to educate and empower university students nationwide, ensuring the next generation is equipped with the knowledge, critical awareness, and resilience needed to contribute to a safer nation, particularly in confronting the challenges of terrorism and violent extremism.
