Kuala Lumpur, 12th March 2026 – The Southeast Asia Regional Centre for Counter-Terrorism (SEARCCT) hosted the ‘Women in Terrorism’ Forum (WiTChat) in conjunction with International Women’s Day. Guided by the IWD’s global theme “Give to Gain,” this exclusive closed-door forum provides a professional platform to discuss the evolving roles of women in Counter-Terrorism (CT) and Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE).
The intellectual exchange brings together 40 female experts from government agencies, academia, and civil society organisation to share real-world experiences and evidence-based insights. The distinguished speakers / experts include YBhg. Datin Paduka Nur Ashikin Mohd Taib, the Director General of SEARCCT, Dr. Nurul Miza Mohd Rashid, Assistant Professor of Psychology International Islamic University Malaysia, and DSP Mudiana Bidin, DSP Intelligence & Operations II, Special Branch (E8), Royal Malaysia Police. This forum aims to strengthen further the professional networking and recognise women as key architects of national security strategies.
